You're not too much.
It's late afternoon. Someone else's bad mood has crept into your shoulders, your mind is still replaying a comment from three hours ago, and all you want is to escape to a safe, quiet place where nobody needs anything from you.
Everyone else seems to handle life just fine. Somehow you're the one quietly falling apart behind a smile.
Your nervous system is just wired differently, and no one ever taught you how to live in it, so you've spent your whole life fighting it instead.
If you've been called "too sensitive" so many times that some part of you quietly believes it, you're exactly who this was built for.
Your nervous system is just wired differently, and no one ever taught you how to live in it, so you've spent your whole life fighting it instead.
(And if you just nodded and also thought "great, one more thing I have to figure out," same. Stick with me.)
Here's the real enemy, and it's not you.
You were handed a nervous system that runs hot, fast, and deep, then handed a world built for people whose nervous systems run flat, slow, and shallow. Nobody told you that. So instead of learning to work with your wiring, you spent years trying to override it: pushing through, masking, apologizing, shrinking.
Maybe it was an empty nest that finally gave you the silence to notice how tired you actually are. Maybe it was a divorce, or still being married but quietly wondering where you went. Maybe it was a birthday that landed harder than you expected, the kind that makes you ask "is this just... it?"
Here's something nobody ever told you: what you're describing has a name. It's called being a Highly Sensitive Person, a documented nervous system trait, not a flaw, not a personality problem, not something to apologize for. You've just spent your whole life hearing it called "too much" instead of what it actually is. For many of us, it blends with being autistic or otherwise wired differently. Whatever your label (or no label at all), you belong here.
Does this sound like you?
- ♥You're the "strong one" who holds everything together and you feel completely invisible inside your own life.
- ♥You carry guilt for needing more rest than the people around you seem to need, and you've started apologizing for it before anyone even asks.
- ♥ You feel a low hum of not belonging even in rooms full of people who love you, like you're always translating yourself into a language everyone else speaks naturally.
- ♥Your body sits in a low simmer of alert, even when nothing is wrong, so "relaxing" feels like a foreign language you were never taught to speak.
- ♥You've tried meditation, and sitting still with your racing thoughts made you more anxious.
- ♥You've done the therapy, the yoga, the apps, the books. You understand your story. Your body just hasn't caught up.
If some small part of you is scared this won't work either, that fear makes complete sense. It's not a flaw in you. It's a mismatch between your nervous system and every tool you've been handed so far.

Here's what happens
when you stop fighting your wiring and start working with it.
Your nervous system finds grounding, through your breath, not willpower. You feel rooted in your own worth instead of your output. Belonging stops being something you have to earn. The "too much / not enough" whisper finally quiets. The depth, the noticing, the intensity you've spent years hiding? They stop being liabilities the moment you stop trying to run them on someone else's operating system.
This isn't about becoming less sensitive, less deep, less you. It's about finally belonging to the body and mind you already have, and letting the power of your breath work magic on everything you've been carrying alone.
The alternative? Staying exactly like this. Not in crisis, just quietly stuck, for another year. Then another. That's the part that should scare you more than trying something new.
This is BLOOM: a weekly sanctuary, live every Tuesday, built
specifically for nervous systems wired differently. Not therapy. Not another mindset hack. Not one more app calibrated for a baseline nervous system that was never yours. A steady, gentle soothing rhythm of breathwork (with optional Reiki) that shifts your body out of fight-or-flight and into rest, one Tuesday at a time. And you won't be the only one in the room who feels this way. Many women say it's the first hour all week they've felt like they belong somewhere without having to earn it.
What a Tuesday actually looks like:
We Arrive
a soft landing ritual, your signal it's safe to slow down.
We Breathe
a gentle, guided breathwork journey. You hold the dial the whole time. Nothing is forced, and you can soften it anytime.
We Integrate
the real shift. What felt heavy often feels lighter. You're never alone in what comes up.
We Close
share a word, or just soak in the warmth. Sharing is always optional.

I know this path because I've walked it and I'm still walking it.
For most of my life, my nervous system picked up everything: other people's stress, their sadness, the tension in a room before anyone said a word out loud. I didn't have a name for it, I just knew I felt things at a different volume than everyone around me, and it wore me out in ways I couldn't explain. Too much. Too deep. Never quite fitting the mold, no matter how hard I tried to squeeze myself into it.
I spent years in relationships with verbally and physically abusive men, slowly losing the thread of who I actually was beneath all the surviving I was doing. Then grief arrived in its most devastating form: the loss of a child and a grandchild. There are no words for that kind of weight, and there's no shortcut through it.
Breathwork taught me something nothing else could: how to carry the unbearable without being crushed by it. Did I do it perfectly? No. But my emotions regulated. My thinking cleared. I built BLOOM because I needed it first. Not theory, not a certification alone, a lived, still-unfolding path back to belonging with myself. Everything I went through happened for my good, even the parts I wouldn't wish on anyone, because it's the reason I can hold this space for you now.
And now I hold it for you.

Your Questions, Answered
Do I have to share or turn my camera on?
No. Cameras are welcome but never required, and sharing is always optional. Personal sharing is edited out of the replays.
What if meditation or breathing exercises made me more anxious before?
You're not doing it wrong. Many sensitive nervous systems need a gentler way in. BLOOM breathwork is soothing, never forced, and you hold the dial the whole time. If anything feels like too much, you soften it or simply rest.
Do I have to talk about my past or my trauma?
Absolutely not. BLOOM is not a therapy group. We work with the wisdom of your body rather than the narrative of your past. Your only job is to breathe.
What if I've never done breathwork before?
You don't need any experience. There is no right way to breathe here and no way to do this wrong.
I'm not sure if I'm highly sensitive, autistic, or something else. Is this for me?
If you feel things deeply, get overwhelmed easily, or have always felt wired differently, you belong here. No label required.
When do we meet, and what if I can't make it live?
Every Tuesday at 5:30 PM PST, for about an hour (sometimes we linger a little longer). Replays are added to your library within 24 hours.
How do you ensure this space is safe for my body?
Every new member completes a brief health check-in before their first session, so the space is tailored to your unique system. You'll never be pushed to go faster or deeper than you feel ready for.
Is it okay to prioritize this when so many people depend on me?
This is the question so many sensitive women carry, and it makes complete sense that you do. But the version of you who's learned to regulate, silence the inner critic, and return to calm in seconds isn't a more selfish version of you. She's a more present, more grounded, more available one. BLOOM isn't time away from the people you love. It's one hour a week that makes every other hour better.
The BLOOM Way
Five pillars. One gentle path
back to yourself.
Breathe & Be
Your breath is the fastest way back to calm, and it's always with you. Learn to find safety in seconds, no matter what's happening around you.
Love Yourself Through the Mess
You don't need fixing. You need to be met exactly where you are. Slowly quiet the inner critic and replace it with real, unconditional love for yourself.
Observe with Love
Notice your emotions and sensations without getting swept away. That's the shift from reacting to responding, and it changes everything.
Own Your Worth
Say no without guilt. Ask for what you need without apologizing. Stop shrinking. You'll feel this in your body first, because you'll finally know your needs matter too.
Move into Your Authentic Flow
Your nervous system settles. Your emotions get easier to navigate. Slowly, you find the woman you were before everyone told you who to be, and you love her.
You've been holding
your breath long enough.
You don't have to have it all figured out. Just give yourself one hour on a Tuesday, and let the power of your breath work magic.
